NOTE: Nominations from previous years must be resubmitted to be considered this year.

The Vigil Honor is the highest Honor that an Order of the Arrow Lodge can bestow upon its members for OUTSTANDING/EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE to their lodge and to their council. It dates back to the year 1915, when its founder E. Urner Goodman, became the first Vigil Honor Member. It is a mark of high distinction and recognition reserved for those Order of the Arrow members who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish dedication, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position or Office to our Lodge, the Order of the Arrow, our Council, and/or our Council Camps.

ANY Witauchsoman Lodge member may nominate any other Lodge member that is eligible. To be eligible for the Vigil Honor an Arrowman must:

  • Be a Brotherhood member for at least 2 years prior to July 1st of this year
  • Be a member in good standing of Witauchsoman Lodge #44 (membership dues are current)
  • Be registered in the Minsi Trails Council, BSA

This nomination should include examples of the nominee’s outstanding/exceptional service.
